2011 - Passport To Canada!

We did it yet again...16 chilis (tying the record), and 53 guests (a big bump from recent years), and a whole lotta fun!  Thanks to everyone for your contributions- chili, sides, beverages, or just your fantastic attitudes and presence.  We love you all!

Our only hitch this year is one that's 22 years old, and getting just a wee bit more annoying each year.  Tallying of the votes takes WAY too long, and too many folks had to get home before we got to awarding the prizes.  Yeah, I know, there's an app for that!

Awesome chilis competed this year, and once again, two chefs, certain that they had the one ingredient no-one else would use in a chili (peanut butter), were surprised to find someone else had indeed chosen it!

We also had loads of great breads this year, including I believe 3 different corn bread recipes.

And of course, you showered us with beer, wine, and a lovely bottle of Irish Whiskey.  (Judy won't join me in that, so I'm gonna need help to meet the admonition to enjoy it ALL before we leave town!)

Well, that's all for now.  Thanks to everyone who competed, and to everyone who help choose this years winners, and to everyone who just came and smiled and made the evening more fun for all of us.

p.s. Mark and Michelle, who couldn't make it this year, wondered if we'd gone in for guerilla advertising this year when they saw this...
