NEWS...

September 2007 - L'Shanah Tovah T'kateivu! The high holidays are here, and what better way to celebrate the new year than a visit to a local apple orchard. Last year it was everyone but Sharon, and this year it's everyone but Toby. He phoned the other day, and posted a nice entry on facebook, so we're keeping mostly up to date. Ian will be copying his posts here, so if you aren't on Facebook, you can still keep up to date on his happenings. (We're also tracking the year from our perspective here.) We're looking forward to a terrific year. Sharon is settling into her sophmore year at Southwest, and Jeremiah just moved from the Happy Faces to the Cool Cats at his preschool. Religious school kicked off last weekend, and Hebrew school starts this week...phew, when's the first break?

April 2007 - Spring is definitely here now! The month began with a visit to Toronto for Pesach, where we enjoyed fabulous spring weather, and fun with family and friends. We wrapped up the week with a drive home in a snowstorm...did someone say global warming?!...plus a lovely visit with an assembly of Jehovah's Witnesses in Janesville, WI. The big news of the month though has nothin' to do with the weather...Judy is now a licensed driver, having passed with flying colors on her first try...after a brief hiatus of, say, uh, 20 years or so...we are proud and psyched, and happy to ride in the car with her!

March 2007 - Toby's application to study abroad through AFS is in the mail. While we await their decision, he's moving full speed ahead with planning and fundraising. He's put up a couple of pages to explain what it's all about and how you can help. (Check out the Recycling Rewards link for a list of qualifying products.)

February, 2007 - Winter finally arrived in Minnesota, to the delight of some and dismay of others. (And we're just talking about our family!) Jer turned 4, moved up a class at his preschool, and said farewell to all diapers. Sharon started driver's ed, and can't wait to test for her permit. Toby is applying to study abroad for his senior year. Judy and Ian are up to their eyeballs, mostly these days prepping for the 18th annual Chili Bowl.

Halloween, 2006 - Hot off the presses...Jer dragged Mom out on a VERY cold night, and charmed the pants off all the neighbors (not literally David!), while Sharon and friends made a visit to Hooville, and Toby served treats to all of our neighborhood kids.

June 16, 2006 - Toby has confirmed his commitment to Judaism, his synagogue, and his community, (and made a fabulous showing with his team at the MN State High School Ultimate Frisbee Tournament), Sharon is now officially out of Middle School, and Jeremiah is a dancing dancing dancing machine!

January 20, 2006 - We started the new year with a family vacation...to The O.C.! Judy spent her days hanging out with other Jewish Educators at the NATE conference, while the rest of us lived the life of beachcombers! Here's a quick look at our fun!

September 23, 2005 - Yikes! Where did the summer go? We're so far behind. The shot above is from our family camping trip to the north shore at the beginning of the summer. Since then, there's been the Shir Tikvah camping trip, plus travels to Cleveland, GUCI, and Toronto. Ugh, we gotta get busy with some updates...

May 15, 2005 - Only 2 months to get this year's Chili Bowl stuff online! That's gotta be a record. We're still waiting for most of the recipes to come in, but in the meantime, check out the theme, the winners, and highlights from the 16th annual!

May 1, 2005 - What better way to spend a snowy day in May than finishing up Sharon's Bat Mitzvah pages. We've got all the speeches, and ALL the photos! Check it out!

February 22, 2005 - Sharon's Bat Mitzvah is almost upon us...not that we're stressing or anything...the Bat Mitzvah pages are up to date with info about the weekend. Check it out!

January 14, 2005 - Most of our waking hours of late are devoted to planning, preparing, and/or worrying about Sharon's upcoming Bat Mitzvah, but today we kicked back to celebrate Jeremiah turning 2!

November 4, 2004 - We are still hurting from the election results but life goes on here in Minnesota! Toby and Sharon just finished their first quarters of this school year. Toby is in the concert band at his school and Sharon is gearing up towards her Bat Mitzvah in March. Jeremiah is approaching 22 months and is keeping us all on our toes. He is a chatter box, a clown and apparently a singer! Check out his latest release here! Our Chanukah party is around the corner and we already have Chili Bowl 2005 on our brains!

September 3, 2004 - Toby turns 14 and finishes his 3rd day of high school! Sharon is back in the swing as a 7th grader at Anthony. Jer is a very busy and VERY talkative toddler, just shy of 20 months. Judy and Ian are pretty much hanging on for dear life! We had a great summer, and PROMISE to be more prompt and frequent with updates here. We have at least a prayer of succeeding courtesy of Judy's gift to Ian of a digital camera for his 46th <OMG!> birthday.

November 2, 2003 - Yahoo! We did it! The Bar Mitzvah pages are now published and ready for you! Thanks to everyone who contributed!

January 14, 2003 - Jeremiah Alex Silver joins us!!!
